The Chicago O’hare International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the United States is in urgent need of repairs. With drops of water every meter, and wet floors, it’s become an embarrassment to both management and users of the airport. Buckets could be seen on hallways, and boarding gate seats to trap leakages as it rains, thus making navigation difficult for travelers.
One wonders what could have led to such massive and widespread leakages, but some facility managers could be seen making some assessment of the level of damage at the time of filing this report. This is one of the challenges of modern architecture. Intimidating and breath-taking structural and roofing designs seem not to have been matched with consideration for ease of repairs. This all-important airport is certainly in need of urgent repairs to restore passenger confidence, as air traffic begins gradual return to pre-covid-19 days.
